About the Role
This is a high-impact, growth-focused social media position that blends creative storytelling with performance marketing within a dynamic consumer brand setting. The role is based in Canada and is managed by a partner company.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing the social media strategy across various platforms including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook, with a focus on building a culturally relevant brand presence that fosters engagement, trust, and customer acquisition. Collaboration with Growth, Brand, Creative, and PR teams is key to creating content that is both engaging and drives conversions. A significant emphasis is placed on short-form video, trending content, and community-driven narratives.

Accountabilities
- Oversee and execute the complete social media strategy across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, and emerging platforms.
- Generate, publish, and optimize engaging content, including short-form videos, static posts, reactive content, and trend-based creatives.
- Manage the content calendar, ensuring alignment with product launches, campaigns, cultural events, and brand initiatives.
- Foster community engagement by actively managing comments, direct messages, and audience interactions to build brand loyalty.
- Identify and leverage social trends, memes, and cultural moments to create timely and relevant content.
- Collaborate with Growth teams on paid social strategies, creator partnerships, and performance optimization.
- Partner with PR and Influencer teams to support collaborations and external brand activations.
- Analyze performance metrics and provide actionable insights to enhance reach, engagement, and conversion rates.
- Assist with cross-channel content needs for email, SMS, and landing pages as required.
Requirements
- Possess 3-6 years of experience in managing and expanding social media channels for consumer-facing brands.
- Demonstrate a proven ability to create content that boosts engagement, audience growth, and achieves measurable business outcomes.
- Exhibit strong proficiency in TikTok, Instagram Reels, and short-form video content creation.
- Maintain a deep understanding of current social trends, internet culture, and platform-specific best practices.
- Have experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Growth, Creative, Product, and PR.
- Employ a data-driven approach, with the capacity to analyze performance data and iterate content strategies based on insights.
- Combine strong creative intuition with a performance-focused methodology for content development.
- Possess excellent communication, writing, and brand voice adaptation skills.
- Be highly organized with robust project management capabilities suitable for dynamic work environments.
- Experience in consumer goods, subscription services, pet care, or health-related industries, along with influencer marketing and paid social campaigns, is advantageous.
