Role Overview
KITSCH is hiring a Social Media Manager to help lead the brand’s everyday presence online. This person will serve as the voice of KITSCH across social channels, producing organic content, nurturing community engagement, and influencing how the brand participates in culture. The role calls for someone who lives on social media, naturally thinks in platform-first content, can work quickly without losing the brand’s perspective, and is comfortable taking ownership in a fast-moving environment.
Content and Channel Ownership
- Take charge of daily content production and publishing for TikTok and Instagram, with TikTok as the main creative priority.
- Plan, shoot, and edit original short-form video content on a regular basis.
- Appear on camera frequently, including presenting videos, recording voiceovers, creating GRWM-style content, and covering events or moments as they happen.
- Build and maintain a content calendar that reflects a tone that feels warm, approachable, and beauty-led.
- Shape recurring social series that fit the brand while also being entertaining for the audience.
- Work with the Brand team to turn campaign ideas into content that feels native to each social platform.
- Spot timely opportunities for reactive or real-time posts and stay current on trends, sounds, formats, and cultural moments that matter to the brand.
Community and Culture
- Lead KITSCH’s community presence across Instagram, TikTok, and other emerging platforms that become relevant.
- Create a community strategy that keeps followers engaged, informed, and connected to the brand.
- Monitor conversations and respond with a friendly, on-brand tone.
- Measure and share community performance, using data to understand what is resonating and what is not.
Qualifications and Working Style
- Bring 1 to 3 years of social media experience for a consumer brand, beauty brand, or similar environment, or have a background as a full-time creator with a proven audience-building track record.
- Have strong TikTok fluency and an instinct for what is about to trend.
- Feel natural and confident on camera without needing heavy direction.
- Have a strong visual sense and an understanding of KITSCH’s fun, accessible, beauty-first, community-driven identity.
- Be resourceful and able to create effective content using only a phone and sharp instincts.
- Write clearly and well, especially for short captions, community responses, and brief copy.
- Stay steady and adaptable under pressure, including launches, schedule changes, and last-minute pivots.
- Be comfortable with flexible hours, since social media work is not limited to standard office time.
- Work independently and communicate proactively without needing constant direction.
- Have experience in beauty, personal care, or lifestyle, which is strongly preferred.
