Job description
Overview
Corlann is recruiting a Social Care Worker for its services in Shannon, County Clare. This opportunity is with one of Ireland’s top 150 employers and is intended for someone who brings energy, ambition, and a positive approach to supporting people with intellectual disabilities so they can live meaningful, enjoyable lives.
This is a specified-purpose, full-time role for 78 hours per fortnight. The position is for residential services only and is based in Shannon, Co. Clare.
Role Purpose
The Social Care Worker will play an important supportive and advocacy role for service users. The position focuses on helping each person build independence, strengthen practical and everyday living skills, and make informed choices about their lives.
You will support individuals across all areas of daily life, whether in their home or in a day service environment, while working with them on their person-centred plans and helping them achieve agreed outcomes. The role also involves encouraging community participation, creating opportunities for new experiences, and supporting people to reach their potential.
