Role Overview
CoreCivic is hiring a Site Checker, Community Corrections in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The position supports residential community corrections operations by helping maintain resident accountability and promoting safety, security, and professionalism in the facility and in the field.
Compensation and Benefits
This role offers two pay options:
- With medical benefits: $19.08 per hour, which includes medical coverage, PTO, paid holidays, 401(k), and other benefits. This rate is made up of $17.75 per hour plus $1.33 for every 40 hours worked.
- Without medical benefits: $22.68 per hour, which does not include medical coverage but does include PTO, paid holidays, 401(k), and other benefits. This rate is made up of $17.75 per hour plus $4.93 for every 40 hours worked.
What the Job Involves
The Site Checker, Community Corrections is responsible for making sure resident accountability is maintained through prompt on-site checks for assigned populations. The role also includes setting employer appointments to complete employment verification, conducting random breathalyzer testing in the field, and preparing resident or inmate discipline reports when facility or program violations are found.
Key Duties
- Complete scheduled on-site checks promptly while using company resources efficiently and managing time well.
- Prepare resident discipline documentation quickly for any detected program or facility violations.
- Operate a company vehicle safely and follow all traffic laws, safety rules, and company policies; report traffic violations and complete accident reports when needed.
- Supervise residents as assigned, including responsibilities tied to safety, security, and sanitation.
- Record the checkout of equipment, keys, and other assigned items according to policy and procedure.
Qualifications
Applicants must have a high school diploma, GED, or an equivalent credential. The employer also requires a valid driver's license, a minimum age of 20 years, and the ability to complete pre-service and other required training programs. Strong oral and written communication skills, along with sound problem-solving ability, are also needed.
