Role Summary
The company is looking for a detail-focused Shredder Cleaner to support the afternoon shift, Monday to Friday from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm. This position is centered on keeping shredding equipment clean, clear, and running efficiently by removing debris and contaminants from the work area and machinery.
What the Job Involves
- Keep shredding systems and related equipment clean, including conveyor belts, screens, magnets, and connected parts, so they continue operating effectively and do not become contaminated.
- Clear away unwanted materials such as dirt, non-metal items, and other residue from the shredder and nearby areas to reduce wear and avoid operational issues.
- Work in line with all safety rules, including proper use of personal protective equipment, to support a secure workplace.
- Follow lockout/tagout steps and other required safety procedures before performing cleaning or maintenance-related tasks.
- Maintain a tidy shredder area by removing waste, disposing of debris correctly, and carrying out general housekeeping duties.
Qualifications
- Experience in industrial cleaning or maintenance is an asset.
- Must be physically able to handle tasks that involve standing for long periods, bending, lifting, and using manual dexterity.
- Strong attention to detail is needed to identify and remove contaminants from equipment effectively.
- Should be comfortable working independently as well as collaborating with a team.
- Good communication skills are required for day-to-day coordination with supervisors, operators, and coworkers.

- Starting hourly pay is CAD 25.75, with overtime paid after 44 hours.
