Shipping/Receiving Clerk

About the Company

XTL Transport Inc. operates in transportation, logistics, and warehousing/distribution and is hiring a Shipping/Receiving Clerk for its Brampton, Ontario location. The company is seeking someone who values safety, quality, and teamwork, and who wants a stable role within an essential business.

Key Responsibilities

• Support efficient use of loading and unloading dock doors.
• Set up new carrier records and update existing profile information.
• Check that all shipping paperwork is complete and correct.
• Make sure operational records and forms are filled out properly.
• Prepare bills of lading.
• Coordinate closely with team leaders and customer service staff.
• Share documents with customers when needed.
• Register drivers in line with company procedures.
• Manage the technicians’ screen/dispatch display.
• Complete required reports.
• Take on other job-related duties as assigned.

Skills and Requirements

• At least 1 to 2 years of experience in transportation or logistics.
• Ability to solve problems and make sound decisions.
• Comfortable working as part of a team.
• Willingness to take initiative.
• Flexible and able to adapt to shifting priorities.
• Able to perform well under pressure.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Good interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
• Positive, driven, and dependable attitude.
• Capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Experience with AS/400 is considered an asset.
• Must be eligible to work in a role connected to CT-PAT and have no employment restrictions.

Work Environment and Schedule

This is a team-oriented workplace with a strong focus on occupational health and safety. The schedule is Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
