Role overview
This is a full-time, on-site position in Clonmel, County Tipperary, Ireland. The role needs flexibility around store opening and closing times.
Purpose of the role
The Shift Lead is accountable for running the fill operation and ensuring the sales floor is ready for trade. You will coordinate resources across Serve, Sell and Fill, and step into the floor leadership role when the Colleague Manager is unavailable.
Key responsibilities
- Coach colleagues on the One Best Way approach and help improve productivity ahead of store opening.
- Deploy staff effectively to support a fast and smooth payment experience.
- Make sure daily operational routines are completed efficiently across every area of the store and at the correct time.
- Direct the team to keep the store clean, safe and visually well presented.
- Help build a positive, inclusive team environment.
- Set the standard for excellent customer service.
- Demonstrate M&S behaviours and colleague expectations consistently across the store.
- Support Colleague Managers by sharing observations that help improve performance and recognise strong colleagues.
- Provide support to nearby stores when the business needs it.
- Act as a key holder and respond to call-outs when required.
- Handle opening and closing duties for the building, including vehicle receipt, temperature checks, logging operational issues with the appropriate helpdesks, cash handling and TSL compliance during peripheral hours.
