The Role and Project
MACA Mining is looking for skilled Servicepersons to strengthen its maintenance team on the Karlawinda project. The project is based in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, about 65 km south-east of Newman. The site operates a range of heavy mining plant, including Komatsu 1500 dump trucks, a D10 dozer, a 16M grader, Hitachi EX3600 excavators, and Liebherr 9200 and 9300 excavators.
MACA is part of Thiess and is recognised as a trusted contractor across mining, civil construction, infrastructure, and mineral processing. The business focuses on constant improvement, understanding client needs, investing in its people, and supporting the communities where it operates.
What You Need to Bring
- An HR driver’s licence.
- Prior experience working as a serviceperson on a mine site.
- Hands-on background servicing heavy mobile mining equipment such as Komatsu and CAT machinery.
- The ability to operate equipment for maintenance checks and inspections.
- Experience spotting and reporting oil and fuel leaks, while making sure oil, grease, and fuel supplies are maintained.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A self-driven approach with the ability to work without close supervision.
- A solid understanding of Work Health and Safety requirements and the discipline to follow site procedures and policies.
