Planning is playing an increasingly important part in supporting growth priorities, and the team is expanding in response to higher demand for its expertise. The role offers the chance to work on varied, meaningful assignments and develop further within a supportive professional environment.

The team works with a diverse range of clients and projects spanning residential, health, education, retail, energy, leisure, and employment sectors. The work is centred on practical, innovative, and sustainable planning outcomes that meet client needs.

The organisation values professionalism, collaboration, passion, and integrity, and is looking for someone who shares a commitment to honest and transparent advice.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to planning work across a varied portfolio of projects and sectors.
  • Provide clear, well-informed planning advice to clients.
  • Support the delivery of innovative and sustainable planning solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Help maintain high standards of service across the Planning team.

Requirements

  • An RTPI-accredited degree, or a degree in a closely related relevant subject.
  • Chartered membership of the RTPI, or active progress toward chartered status.
  • Solid understanding of the UK planning system and hands-on experience in planning practice.
  • Private-sector experience would be beneficial, though it is not mandatory.

Additional information

The employer offers support throughout the APC process for candidates working toward RTPI chartered membership.

Training and development are part of the package, with a focus on helping team members grow professionally and reach their career goals.

An excellent remuneration package and overall benefits package are available.

The company has been operating since 2003 and has grown to 14 offices, with a strong emphasis on inclusion, belonging, and recognising the contribution of its people.

Candidates should submit an up-to-date CV along with a short explanation of their experience, skills, and interest in the role. If technical issues arise during the application process, contact the recruitment team by email.

Leave it if you'd like a reply — we won't use it for anything else.
