Job description
About the company
Dayforce is a worldwide human capital management company with its headquarters in Toronto, Ontario, and Minneapolis, Minnesota. The organization serves clients across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia Pacific Japan region through its cloud-based HCM platform.
Its award-winning platform brings together a single database and a continuous calculation engine to help organizations improve efficiency, productivity, and compliance for their global workforce. The company’s guiding promise, “Makes Work Life Better™,” reflects its focus on employees, customers, partners, and communities.
About the role
This opportunity is for an early-career professional to join the Services Consulting team as a Senior Workforce Management Consultant. The role supports enterprise clients in implementing Dayforce HCM, with a focus on time tracking, attendance, scheduling, and labor rules that shape workforce management processes.
This is a fast-moving consulting position rather than a conventional administrative role. It involves working directly with clients, solving business problems, and turning complex requirements into practical, scalable technology solutions. It is well-suited to someone adaptable, curious, and eager to develop in a client-facing, systems-oriented environment.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute to project teams implementing Dayforce Workforce Management modules for enterprise customers across Australia, New Zealand, and other regions.
- Partner with client stakeholders to understand rules and policies related to time capture, scheduling, compliance, and labour management.
- Build, configure, and validate workforce management solutions aligned to client needs and regulatory obligations.
- Convert business issues into clear software-based solutions supported by documentation and structured configuration.
- Investigate configuration problems and identify the underlying causes as well as possible fixes.
- Take part in customer workshops, internal solution reviews, and testing phases.
- Develop platform expertise, consulting skills, and functional knowledge through mentorship and formal training.
Candidate profile
The role is designed for people who want variety, challenge, and the chance to grow into a trusted advisor. It may suit a professional with several years of experience in HR, business operations, scheduling, retail leadership, or workforce administration who wants to move into technology consulting.
It may also suit a recent graduate from a business or technical program, or someone from a client-facing, analytical, or support background who is ready to transition into implementation work. Strong problem-solving ability, comfort with ambiguity, and curiosity about how systems operate are important.
What will help you succeed
- Clear communication skills and the ability to speak confidently with customers while switching between business and technical language.
- A structured approach to problem-solving, with the ability to break down issues, ask relevant questions, and create logical next steps.
- Technical curiosity and enthusiasm for learning new systems, tools, and data flows.
- An adaptable, proactive style that works well in changing environments and uncertain situations.
- A client-first mindset with an interest in simplifying complex problems for others.
- A growth-oriented attitude, including willingness to learn and figure things out along the way.
