Job description
About the company
BC Game is a crypto-focused gaming business with a global product portfolio built around the idea that technology can reshape online gaming. Operating since 2017, the company has grown to serve millions of players worldwide, with support for more than 10,000 games and over 150 cryptocurrencies across its platforms.
The company distinguishes itself through transparent, fair play systems, including open-source code and provably fair games. It also operates at a fast pace across casino, sports, and live entertainment products, aiming to influence the direction of the industry rather than simply follow it.
The Melbourne team is being built with the goal of bringing together strong problem-solvers, builders, and creative thinkers who want meaningful ownership and the opportunity to help shape global products from the ground up.
Role overview
In this senior UX/UI position, you will take ownership of key player experiences across web, iOS, and Android while establishing strong design standards for quality and consistency as the Melbourne team expands. The role is hands-on and suited to someone who enjoys solving complex interaction challenges and simplifying sophisticated betting and platform logic into experiences that feel intuitive, quick, and polished.
This is also a role with growth potential. You will join as the senior design specialist in Melbourne, with a clear path to move into a design leadership position as the team grows.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the full UX/UI design process for the most complex journeys in the product, including real-time odds views, bet slip interactions, payment flows for deposits and withdrawals, risk-based authentication, and CRM lifecycle screens across web, iOS, and Android.
- Shape the visual language and interaction patterns so they align with brand direction and player behaviour.
- Create and manage a scalable component library and design documentation that helps product and engineering teams work faster and deliver higher-quality output.
- Design clear and efficient interfaces for operational tools, backend systems, multi-tier agent and commission portals, and reporting dashboards.
- Work closely with product, front-end, QA, and operations teams, participate in PRD reviews, and use analytics, A/B testing, and conversion-rate optimisation to continuously improve results.
- Maintain a high design bar, support and mentor other designers, and influence how the design function evolves as the team scales.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of UI/UX design experience across web and mobile, backed by a strong portfolio featuring complex, data-heavy products.
- Strong analytical and logical thinking skills, with the ability to translate complicated business rules such as risk controls and layered agency structures into clean, minimal interfaces.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma and other widely used design and prototyping tools.
- Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React, to discuss implementation feasibility with developers.
- Comfort working with data and research inputs such as heatmaps, user research, and funnel analytics to guide design decisions.
- Ambition and readiness to grow into a leadership role.
- Full Australian working rights.
Nice to have
These points are considered advantages rather than mandatory criteria.
- Experience designing products for iGaming, sports betting, or real-money gaming.
- Strong understanding of betting mechanics such as handicaps, live betting, and parlays or accumulators.
- Background in mentoring designers or leading design initiatives.
What’s offered
- Competitive compensation with a performance-linked bonus, reviewed once a year.
- Opportunity to take meaningful ownership and help shape how millions of players use the product.
- Learning and development funding for courses, certifications, and conferences.
- Annual leave along with a birthday day off, wellness days, marriage leave, graduation leave, a day off for a child’s first school day, and additional leave that increases with tenure.
- Health and wellbeing support for personal and professional balance.
- A new centrally located Melbourne office with snacks and drinks provided.
- Team lunches and regular company gatherings.
Inclusion and access
