Senior Supervisor Housekeeper

Role Overview

This position is part of the housekeeping and laundry team in Mecca, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. It is a full-time, non-management role focused on maintaining guest-room cleanliness, ensuring service standards, and supporting day-to-day housekeeping operations.

Key Duties

• Record room-cleaning status and complete checklists that confirm the cleanliness and condition of each assigned area.
• Prepare and finish all required housekeeping documentation.
• Identify room allocations and determine the appropriate cleaning method for each room.
• Inspect guest rooms after cleaning has been completed.
• Respond quickly to requests from guests and other departments.
• Enter guest rooms only after following the proper access procedure and confirming the room is vacant.
• Support management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, coaching, and motivating employees.
• Act as a positive example for the team.
• Follow company, safety, and security rules and procedures.
• Report maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, and injuries without delay.
• Complete required safety training and certifications.
• Store flammable materials correctly and safely.
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance and uniform.
• Protect confidential information and safeguard company property.
• Greet guests in line with company standards and address their service needs proactively.
• Assist guests with disabilities and express sincere appreciation to all guests.
• Work toward quality standards and suggest improvements that raise efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, or cost-effectiveness.
• Build cooperative working relationships and help the team achieve shared goals.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with others.
• Handle physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, moving, pushing, and pulling housekeeping equipment and objects, including carts over uneven or sloped surfaces.
• Perform bending, reaching, twisting, stooping, kneeling, standing, sitting, and walking for long periods throughout the shift.
• Use computers and/or point-of-sale systems to enter and find work-related information.
• Read and interpret written documents visually.
• Carry out other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• At least 1 year of related work experience is required.
• No prior supervisory experience is needed.
• No license or certification is required.
