Job description

About Bridgit

Bridgit is a non-bank lender focused on changing how Australians finance property. The company was built to simplify property transactions through faster access to funding, and it introduced a Buy Now, Sell Later solution that helps homeowners unlock equity and move ahead on their own timeline. Its digital application process, quick approvals, and flexible lending options are designed to make property finance easier and less stressful.

In just five years, Bridgit has grown rapidly. It has accredited more than three quarters of Australia’s broker network and launched white-label offerings with major aggregators including Connective, Aussie Home Loans, Finsure, and Loan Market Group. The business has also received recognition through awards and industry rankings, including Best Growth Story at the 2025 Fintech Awards, the 2025 Finder People’s Choice Award for Lending Innovation, finalist placement for Excellence in Lending (Business & Consumer) at the 2025 Finnies, Deloitte’s Tech Fast 50 2025, and a place in LinkedIn’s Top 20 Startups in Australia for 2025.

Role Overview

Bridgit is hiring a Senior Product Manager - Lending to join its growing Sydney team. This opportunity suits someone who enjoys solving customer problems and wants to make a meaningful contribution in a fast-moving fintech environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Take ownership of solution design by working closely on the details, including process maps, wireframes, prototypes, and user stories, so broad ideas become fully specified features ready for engineering.
  • Drive an incremental delivery approach by dividing major initiatives into smaller releases that can ship value early while setting up future improvements.
  • Partner with the Head of Product to assess, rank, and monitor feature ideas, enhancements, and roadmap items.
  • Break large product initiatives into practical work packages, while helping manage schedules, resource planning, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate across developers, designers, operations, and other stakeholders to keep delivery moving smoothly and on time.
  • Turn customer feedback and internal input into clear documentation, such as user stories, acceptance criteria, and product specifications.
  • Support QA, testing, and rollout activities by surfacing defects, unusual cases, and usability issues before launch.
  • Keep product records well organised in tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Notion, including tasks, notes, and progress updates.
  • Represent the customer viewpoint throughout development so the team stays focused on meaningful user outcomes.
  • Help shape data-led decisions by contributing to the review of usage data, customer feedback, and product performance trends.

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 4 years of experience in a comparable product role.
  • Background in lending, preferably with exposure to residential mortgages.
  • Strong planning and organisation skills with the ability to manage several priorities at once.
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills.
  • A self-starting, practical mindset and comfort working through ambiguity.
  • Interest in technology and product development, with an ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams even if you are not technical yourself.

Bonus Experience

  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Trello, Notion, or similar platforms.
  • Experience in a startup or scaleup environment.

Culture and Benefits

Bridgit describes its team as central to the business and offers a mix of competitive pay, modern offices, and the opportunity to contribute to an agile fintech company. Additional benefits include:

  • Birthday leave plus an extra paid day that can be used for life events, celebrations, or a mental health break.
  • The option to work remotely from any location for two weeks each year.
  • Access to learning and development opportunities, including internal professional development initiatives.
  • A lively social calendar with events held throughout the year.

Location

This role is based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, with remote working included.
