Job description

About Carefeed

Carefeed is a software platform built for senior living and long-term care organizations that want to replace paper-heavy processes, phone-based coordination, and scattered tools with one unified system. The product automates and organizes work so teams can spend less time on administration and more time supporting residents and families.

The platform is designed to sit alongside existing EHR and HR systems rather than replace them, helping providers keep their current workflows while improving efficiency, clarity, and consistency across communities. Carefeed is known for being easy to adopt, practical in real-world operations, and suited to the needs of multi-community care providers.

Used by thousands of communities across the US and Canada, Carefeed supports organizations in creating better experiences for residents, families, and care teams.

Role Overview

  • Create clear product goals that support company priorities.
  • Balance immediate customer needs with long-term scalability and technical soundness.
  • Look for ways to streamline workflows, improve the user experience, and create additional value across the platform.
  • Build a deep understanding of customer workflows, pain points, and success measures through research, feedback, and data analysis.
  • Work closely with Customer Success and Sales to gather customer insights and use them to shape priorities.
  • Turn complex customer requirements into practical product specifications.
  • Guide cross-functional teams through discovery, planning, delivery, and ongoing improvement.
  • Prepare product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria with clarity and precision.
  • Manage backlog prioritization and scope decisions while making well-reasoned trade-offs.
  • Help ensure features are delivered on time and to a high standard.
  • Partner with Engineering to validate feasibility, quality, and scale.
  • Collaborate with Design to create intuitive, user-centered experiences.
  • Work as a trusted partner to Sales and go-to-market teams to support customer success.
  • Maintain strong standards for reliability, performance, security, and compliance.
  • Promote product quality, usability, and consistency throughout the platform.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of experience in product management.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex initiatives across multiple functions.
  • Ability to convert customer and business needs into product strategy and execution plans.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience partnering closely with engineering teams on technically complex products.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability, with a data-driven approach.

Preferred Background

  • Experience in healthcare, health tech, or another regulated industry.
  • Background working on B2B SaaS products and platform-level features.
  • Experience taking products from early stage to scale, including 0-to-1 work.

Work Location

This role can be performed remotely from within the US, or on-site in Chicago, IL or Cincinnati, OH.

Benefits

  • Opportunity to join a fast-growing startup making a meaningful difference for senior care providers and their communities.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement plan.
  • Paid vacation, sick leave, and company-paid holidays.
  • A growth-focused culture with room to develop as the company expands.
