Role overview
The Senior Pre-Sales Engineer will partner with Sales and Business Development to shape technical solutions, prepare BOQs and technical proposals, and manage compliance responses for RFPs/RFQs. The role involves working closely with customers, consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders to support the full presales cycle.
What you will do
- Study customer needs, tender documents, RFPs, RFQs, project requirements, and scope details to build the right solution approach.
- Develop technical proposals, compliance matrices/statements, BOQs, and technical submissions.
- Create solution designs and architecture for ICT, Low Current, ELV, and connected systems.
- Carry out site visits and technical evaluations to understand customer environments and project constraints.
- Work with vendors and manufacturers to obtain quotations, validate designs, and confirm solution fit.
- Prepare pricing inputs, cost build-ups, and quotation support for commercial offers.
- Assist the sales team in customer meetings, presentations, and joint site visits.
- Present proposed designs and solutions clearly to customers, contractors, and consultants.
- Review scope details, flag technical risks, and ensure the proposed solution matches customer expectations.
- Support transition to delivery teams once an opportunity is awarded.
- Identify resources needed for project execution and help ensure implementation readiness.
- Make sure proposal turnaround and response quality meet the approved SLA and governance standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in ICT, ELV, Low Current, or Cybersecurity presales.
- Proven ability to prepare solution designs, BOQs, technical proposals, and compliance statements.
- Solid understanding of networking, low current systems, cybersecurity, or system integration solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and customer-facing skills.
- Vendor certifications will be considered an advantage.
