About the Role
MoonPay is hiring a Senior People Partner to help build a high-performing, engaged, and scalable global organization. In this role, you will act as a strategic advisor to leaders and managers across multiple regions, supporting organizational effectiveness, leadership growth, and a positive employee experience.
This position blends strategic people partnering with hands-on HR advisory work. You will guide leaders through organizational change, employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning while keeping people programs aligned with business goals. You will also contribute to policy development, engagement initiatives, and a consistent employee experience across a global workforce.
The role is based in New York and works with stakeholders across the United States, EMEA, and other international regions.
What You Will Do
- Provide trusted HR guidance on employee relations topics such as performance management, grievances, investigations, disciplinary matters, absence handling, and conflict resolution.
- Handle complex employee lifecycle situations, including performance improvement plans, exits, restructures, and matters with legal risk, working with Legal and external counsel when needed.
- Build, update, and maintain global people policies, processes, and frameworks while ensuring they meet U.S. employment law requirements and remain adaptable to local rules in other regions.
- Work with senior leaders and managers worldwide on org design, workforce planning, change management, and broader organizational effectiveness efforts.
- Coach managers to improve leadership capability, strengthen team performance, and address people challenges across distributed teams.
- Drive employee engagement programs using employee feedback and people data to improve retention, engagement, and overall organizational health.
- Use a data-led approach to inform people decisions and share trends, insights, and analysis with leadership.
What We’re Looking For
- Substantial experience as a People Partner, HR Business Partner, or in a similar role within a fast-moving, scaling, or technology-focused organization.
- Deep knowledge of U.S. employee relations, employment law, performance management, investigations, disciplinary actions, and complex case handling.
- Experience supporting globally distributed teams and leaders across multiple countries, with comfort navigating different employment practices, cultures, and regulations.
- Proven ability to lead change, support organizational design efforts, and influence stakeholders during growth and transformation.
- Strong coaching skills for managers and senior leaders, with the ability to balance business needs, employee experience, compliance, and risk.
- A pragmatic, analytical, and solutions-focused mindset, with strong relationship-building skills and comfort working in ambiguity.
- Experience using AI and automation tools to improve workflows and analyze data, along with an interest in applying AI thoughtfully.
