Role overview
As a Senior QA Tester, you will help safeguard the quality, stability, and speed of software releases. The position focuses on hands-on manual testing for desktop and mobile products, while working closely with developers and QA colleagues to ensure issues are found early, clearly recorded, and fully resolved before release.
What you will do
- Carry out detailed manual testing on desktop and mobile applications to verify both functional and non-functional expectations.
- Work with developers to log, monitor, and help close defects so delivery remains dependable and high quality.
- Partner with QA analysts to create strong test cases that cover core flows, edge conditions, and likely failure scenarios.
- Support the preparation and improvement of test plans and testing strategies so each feature is validated before release.
- Keep the overall quality bar high throughout the development lifecycle and look for ways to improve both the product and the testing approach.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of practical experience in manual testing, specifically across web and mobile applications.
- Solid knowledge of the software development lifecycle and QA processes, with the ability to integrate testing smoothly into delivery workflows.
- Strong English reading and writing skills at a minimum B2 level, including the ability to document test cases, defects, and reports clearly.
- Hands-on familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and test management tools for tracking and documenting testing work.
- Strong analytical ability and close attention to detail to identify issues before release.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to manage ad hoc tasks and multiple deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
- A flexible team player who collaborates well and contributes to shared project and team goals.
- Arabic fluency.
- English fluency.
- Nice to have: exposure to automation tools such as Selenium and Appium and comfort working alongside automation teams.
- Nice to have: basic JavaScript knowledge to support collaboration with developers and automation work.
- Nice to have: experience with IDEs such as IntelliJ or Eclipse, or similar development tools.
- Nice to have: experience in functional analysis and test case design.
- Nice to have: a willingness to keep learning and stay current with QA and software development trends.
