Job description
Role Overview
This position focuses on packaging machinery sourcing, installation, and performance improvement for both greenfield and brownfield project environments. The role requires close coordination across technical, vendor, and site teams to ensure smooth execution and reliable packaging operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Source packaging machines and make sure they are delivered on time and in full for new and existing project sites.
- Assess business and technical needs, draft machine specifications, engage with vendors, and complete supplier shortlisting through technical bid evaluation.
- Define design expectations and safety standards for packaging equipment by product category, and ensure they are followed during buying and installation activities.
- Manage acceptance and commissioning activities such as FAT and SAT, along with on-site coordination to support successful startup.
- Lead machine enhancement initiatives aimed at increasing output, reducing manpower dependence, and improving data collection and analysis.
- Visit sites regularly to spot opportunities for improvement and bring packaging line performance to a common standard.
- Contribute to broader packaging automation efforts that reduce manual handling and intervention.
- Assist in hiring, training, and capability development for teams using advanced packaging systems.
- Ensure packaging processes maintain zero product and pack-related deviations.
