Role Overview
This leadership position oversees user acquisition for the Kuwait and Bahrain cluster. The role is focused on creating, launching, and growing a high-performing paid acquisition function across both markets. As a foundational hire for the cluster, you will set up the local UA operating model, recruit and mentor the team, and deliver steady user growth against regional business goals.
Strategy and Leadership
- Set the direction for user acquisition across Kuwait and Bahrain, spanning paid search, paid social, programmatic, and app-install campaigns.
- Lead and develop a team of user acquisition specialists through coaching, feedback, and career growth support.
- Partner with the Director of Performance Marketing to ensure cluster plans, targets, and budget decisions are aligned with the wider regional strategy.
- Own the key cluster performance measures, including CPI, CPA, ROAS, and total new-user volume.
Execution and Optimization
- Direct the daily management of paid campaigns across all relevant channels, keeping performance efficient and well optimized.
- Work with the Marketing Efficiency team in Qatar HQ to implement shared measurement standards, attribution approaches, and marketing technology tools.
- Use insights provided by the UA Analyst to make data-backed decisions and continuously improve campaign results.
- Test and expand into new channels, audience groups, and creative formats suited to the Kuwait and Bahrain markets.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with the Acting Head of UA for the Qatar and Oman cluster to exchange learnings and align channel approaches.
- Brief and iterate on performance-focused creative with the Creatives and Communications teams.
- Contribute to quarterly business reviews with clear, actionable analysis at the cluster level.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in performance marketing or user acquisition, including a minimum of 2 years leading a team.
- A proven history of managing and scaling paid acquisition budgets within the GCC or MENA region.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of at least three of these platforms: Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, Apple Search Ads, and programmatic DSPs.
- Prior exposure to multi-market or cluster-based operating structures is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical ability with the capacity to turn data into practical strategic recommendations.
- Demonstrated success in hiring, leading, and retaining performance marketing talent.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills in a matrixed organization.
- Experience with analytics and BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms.
- English fluency is mandatory; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
