Role overview

This position is for a Senior Manager, Strategy & Operations based in Dublin, Ireland. The role sits within International Communications & Patient Advocacy and is focused on turning strategic priorities into practical, scalable ways of working. The remit includes strengthening governance, improving planning rigor, and introducing data-led and AI-supported solutions that improve alignment, simplify execution, and deliver measurable outcomes across global and country teams.

Relocation support is not available for this position. Candidates should apply only if they can work from Dublin, Ireland.

Key responsibilities

  • Build, implement, and continuously refine the operating model for International Communications & Patient Advocacy, with well-defined governance, decision-making ownership, and scalable working methods.
  • Own planning, goal setting, and prioritization so that resources are directed toward the most important business objectives.
  • Streamline and redesign processes to remove unnecessary complexity, duplication, and inefficiency across the function.
  • Use data, automation, and artificial intelligence to improve workflows, strengthen decision-making, and speed up execution.
  • Develop and embed performance measurement frameworks, including KPIs and dashboards, to monitor progress and business impact.
  • Maintain strong financial discipline by managing budgets, headcount, and resource allocation in line with strategic priorities.
  • Shape vendor strategy and external partnerships to improve value, avoid duplication, and ensure spend supports the intended outcomes.
  • Lead transformation efforts and help teams adopt new ways of working in a lasting and effective manner.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification is required.
  • Substantial experience in strategy and operations, transformation, or management consulting in large global organizations.
  • Hands-on experience designing and rolling out operating models, governance frameworks, and scalable processes.
  • Ability to convert strategic priorities into clear goals, measures of success, and executable action plans.
  • Strong experience in financial and resource management, including budget oversight and headcount planning.
  • Proven capability to lead change and secure adoption in complex, matrixed environments.
  • Experience improving processes through data, automation, or artificial intelligence to boost efficiency and support decisions.
  • A strong analytical approach with the confidence to question complexity and simplify working methods.
