Job description
Role Overview
The Head of Project Control at site level is responsible for directing the full spectrum of project control activities. This includes scheduling, budgeting, cost monitoring, resource coordination, progress measurement, and reporting. The position serves as the key link between project execution and business objectives, ensuring leaders receive accurate analysis and timely inputs for decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed Level 2/3 project schedules in collaboration with planning and execution teams, making sure they match the approved baseline, available resources, and contractual milestones.
- Set up the site’s project control system, including cost-control processes, budgeting formats, progress-monitoring templates, and performance-reporting mechanisms.
- Track progress on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis against schedules and budgets, flagging variances early and keeping project leadership informed.
- Apply Earned Value Management methods to study schedule and cost performance, then suggest corrective actions to bring delivery back on track.
- Examine and verify site budgets, cost codes, BOQs, and work breakdown structures so costs are allocated correctly and cost-to-complete forecasts are produced on time.
