Job description

Role overview

Kraft Heinz is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to join its Marketing team on a fixed-term contract in Melbourne, Australia. This role is ideal for a designer who wants to progress their marketing career while working in a collaborative environment with strong opportunities for growth. The arrangement is hybrid, with three days in the office and two days working remotely.

The company is a major global food and beverage business with a broad portfolio of brands across many categories and markets. The position sits within a fast-moving team where creative quality, brand consistency, and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

What you will do

  • Produce polished, on-brand creative work across a wide mix of channels, including point-of-sale, digital, social media, FMCG packaging, and web.
  • Own projects from initial briefing and concept stage through to final artwork and delivery.
  • Develop motion and animated content when campaigns require digital or social assets.
  • Apply practical knowledge of print, digital, and packaging production so outputs are suitable for the intended channel.
  • Organise workload and priorities in Monday.com while managing several projects, stakeholders, and deadlines at once.
  • Adapt quickly in a busy environment where priorities may shift frequently without compromising creative standards.
  • Support a junior designer through day-to-day guidance, feedback, and oversight to improve output and capability.
  • Contribute creative leadership by helping others refine and strengthen their work.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Legal, and other partners to deliver effective and aligned creative solutions.
  • Keep brand files and creative materials well maintained inside the Digital Asset Management system.
  • Create with retail settings and out-of-home placements in mind, understanding how context affects design execution.
  • Respond constructively to feedback and changing briefs while bringing clarity and sound creative judgement to ambiguous situations.

What you should bring

  • At least 3 years of experience in a senior graphic design position.
  • Strong command of Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Practical experience with motion and animation software such as After Effects and Premiere Pro.
  • Working familiarity with Figma and design automation tools.
  • Solid understanding of designing for print, digital, and packaging formats.
  • Proven ability to manage time well, prioritise tasks, and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
  • Experience guiding, mentoring, or supervising junior designers.
  • Confidence working across multiple stakeholders while incorporating feedback without losing creative momentum.

Benefits and workplace support

  • Hybrid working model with flexibility around where and when you work.
  • Performance-based variable compensation in addition to a competitive base salary package.
  • Paid parental leave for both primary and secondary caregivers.
  • Extra leave options, including purchased leave, volunteer leave, and LiveWell leave.
  • Recognition as a Great Place to Work in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Access to in-house training programs.
  • Corporate discount programs.
