About the Team
The American Performance Division includes a group of established brands such as Holley, Holley EFI, MSD, NOS, Racepak, and AEM, all closely connected to automotive culture and enthusiast performance. The division’s marketing organization works near the product and the customer, which helps the team move quickly on launches, campaigns, and brand programs. The creative group is part of this environment and helps turn brand strategy into visual systems that engage enthusiasts and support business goals. This position works with multiple cross-functional partners to create campaign and product storytelling across channels.
Role Summary
The Senior Graphic Designer will lead the ideation and delivery of creative work with a strong visual impact for the American Performance division. The position is central to campaign key art, visual identity development, and creative direction for product launches, promotions, and brand initiatives.
This is a hands-on, individual contributor role that blends concept development with production design. The designer will be expected to think at a strategic level, build visual systems, and also produce polished, ready-to-use assets for multiple channels. The role reports to the Manager, Go-To-Market & Brand Operations and collaborates closely with product, content, community, and marketing teams to create work that follows brand standards and speaks authentically to enthusiast audiences.
Core Responsibilities
- Build campaign concepts and visual direction for launches, promotions, and brand efforts that connect with enthusiast communities.
- Convert marketing briefs into clear visual stories and creative directions.
- Produce both conceptual and final production design work across marketing channels, with frequent work on brand guides, campaign ideation, website assets, and digital marketing materials.
- Use AI-enabled creative tools thoughtfully to improve concepting speed, production efficiency, and overall output while protecting originality and design quality.
- Help improve naming systems, project codes, and taxonomy to support better organization and workflow efficiency.
- Support creative for product launches, promotional campaigns, awareness efforts, and ongoing evergreen marketing.
- Develop assets for enthusiast, retail/distributor, and investor audiences.
- Contribute ideas and finished work for events and trade shows.
- Keep all deliverables aligned with brand guidelines and high design standards.
- Help evolve the visual identity of the division’s iconic performance brands.
- Create templates and practical toolkit assets for other content teams, including social, email, blog, and web merchandising teams.
- Review work carefully and provide creative support and feedback to other designers and content creators.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of professional experience in graphic design.
- Background working in an advertising agency environment.
- Ability to work with different stakeholders and turn unclear or changing input into effective creative solutions without needing detailed instructions.
- A strong portfolio showing the ability to translate strategy and briefs into effective visual work.
- Advanced skill in Adobe Creative Suite, plus prior experience with Figma or a similar design tool.
- Familiarity with project and workflow tools such as Asana, Monday.com, and Smartsheet.
- Comfort using AI and newer creative tools to speed up ideation, production, and workflow while maintaining originality, brand integrity, and design excellence.
- Strong understanding of design fundamentals, including typography, layout, and visual storytelling.
- Ability to manage several priorities and deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
- Experience in automotive, aftermarket, or enthusiast-focused industries is strongly preferred.
- Experience creating assets for product launches and integrated marketing campaigns is preferred.
- Exposure to cross-functional marketing teams and go-to-market processes is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, or a related discipline is preferred.
