Job description
Role overview
We are looking for a Senior Graphic Designer who performs well in a fast-moving setting, cares deeply about client results, and brings a strong commitment to creative quality. This is an opportunity to support progressive clients nationwide, collaborate with a team focused on high standards, and join a firm recognized as Best Employer by Campaigns & Elections.
The organization has a strong history of delivering direct mail, design, and targeting services, and this role will work closely with creative and account services teams to make sure strategic direct mail projects are designed, refined, approved, and sent to print on schedule.
The position is remote, but applicants must be located in the United States.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with the creative and client service teams to develop concepts and design direct mail campaigns.
- Apply existing brand systems or build branding for individual campaigns when needed.
- Create persuasive political branding and logo concepts.
- Produce polished, accurate design work and editing on tight turnaround timelines.
- Review final files carefully and prepare them for printer delivery.
- Manage multiple projects and client assignments at the same time.
- Be available to meet client deadlines, including evenings and weekends when required.
- Lead other designers so projects are completed efficiently and at a high quality.
- Coach junior designers and help them execute the assigned creative direction.
Work style and expectations
The company values creativity, respect, reliability, support, and leadership. Team members are expected to consistently aim for excellence while contributing positively to the workplace culture.
This role is tied to the 2026 election cycle, so long and irregular hours may be required, similar to campaign work. At the same time, the employer emphasizes balance through flexible hours, remote work, and mental and physical wellness support.
Compensation and hiring notes
The salary for this position is $6,100 per month, depending on employee location and experience. End-of-cycle bonuses may also be offered based on individual and company performance.
Starting pay is not negotiable, as the organization aims to keep compensation practices equitable.
A bachelor’s degree is not required for this role, and candidates are encouraged to apply even if they do not meet every listed qualification.
Benefits
The benefits package includes employer-paid medical coverage, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a 4% employer match, a cell phone stipend of up to $100, fully paid life insurance, professional development opportunities, and flexible paid time off.
Equal opportunity statement
The employer is an equal opportunity workplace and participates in the Progressive Pipeline x Arena Hiring Pledge. Hiring decisions are made without discrimination based on race, color, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, religion, national origin, citizenship status, disability, ancestry, marital status, veteran status, medical condition, or any other protected category under applicable law.
Additional information
Applicants should be comfortable with a pace that can change quickly and with balancing several client needs at once. Strong communication, adaptability, and the ability to support both senior and junior creative staff are important parts of the role.
