Job description
Who We Are
WarForge Studio is a 2025-founded technology startup building games and fresh digital experiences for players around the world. The company is centered on premium interactive entertainment that combines competition, imagination, energy, and innovation. Its lead game is being developed with a distinct gameplay style and notable technical ideas, with plans to expand step by step internationally beginning in the Middle East. By bringing together regional talent and global know-how, WarForge Studio aims to create games that reflect local culture while still standing up to international competition. The studio is backed by strategic collaborations across technology, payments, and esports as it works toward becoming a major gaming name across the Middle East and beyond.
About the Role
This role sits at the intersection of visual direction and in-game execution. You will work closely with the Art Director to convert stylized realism into assets that are efficient, production-ready, and suitable for Unity. The position involves creating the core PBR shader systems that establish the game’s look, defining optimization standards for mobile performance, and putting automated validation in place so heavy or poorly prepared assets are caught early. In short, you will help make sure the game delivers ambitious visuals while still running smoothly on a phone.
Responsibilities
- Develop and support master PBR materials and shaders that shape the game’s visual style inside the engine.
- Design automated checks in the content pipeline to flag oversized or inefficient assets before they reach the engine.
- Set and manage polygon limits, LOD approaches, and texture packing methods to preserve both performance and stylized realism.
- Work directly with the Art Director, 3D artists, and concept artists to keep creative goals and technical constraints in sync.
- Establish practical art-production standards that remain effective as the team grows.
Requirements
- Solid background as a Technical Artist in game development, with mobile experience preferred.
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in the discipline.
- Strong command of shader development, including Shader Graph and/or HLSL, PBR pipelines, and Unity rendering systems.
- Hands-on experience defining performance, texture, and polygon budgets for stylized 3D content.
- Demonstrated ability to build preventative tools or checks that stop issues before release.
- Practical experience with automation and validation workflows in Unity.
Additional Information
