Senior Financial Analyst

Role overview

HealthPartners is growing its finance team and is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to support the health plan business. The position focuses on financial analysis, reporting platforms, accounting support, budgeting, and the creation and upkeep of financial models.

Key responsibilities

• Work effectively with leaders at all levels and provide support to managers, teammates, and other departments across the organization.
• Improve processes and workflows so financial and management reporting, as well as analysis, are accurate and delivered on time.
• Build, maintain, and support reporting for both financial and managerial needs.
• Assist leadership with operational and financial analysis.
• Contribute to forecasting and budgeting activities.
• Take part in special assignments or studies as needed.
• Help with the monthly close cycle.
• Support contract-related purchasing activities.
• Assist with responses to RFPs.

Required qualifications

• BA/BS degree in finance, accounting, or a related business field.
• At least 1 year of experience in finance, accounting, or a related business area.
• Strong ability with spreadsheets and general computer tools.
• Good analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build productive working relationships with managers and staff at all levels.

Preferred qualifications

• Background in the health care industry.
• Experience with budgeting and forecasting.
