Role overview
HealthPartners is growing its finance team and is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to support the health plan business. The position focuses on financial analysis, reporting platforms, accounting support, budgeting, and the creation and upkeep of financial models.
Key responsibilities
- Work effectively with leaders at all levels and provide support to managers, teammates, and other departments across the organization.
- Improve processes and workflows so financial and management reporting, as well as analysis, are accurate and delivered on time.
- Build, maintain, and support reporting for both financial and managerial needs.
- Assist leadership with operational and financial analysis.
- Contribute to forecasting and budgeting activities.
- Take part in special assignments or studies as needed.
- Help with the monthly close cycle.
- Support contract-related purchasing activities.
- Assist with responses to RFPs.
Required qualifications
- BA/BS degree in finance, accounting, or a related business field.
- At least 1 year of experience in finance, accounting, or a related business area.
- Strong ability with spreadsheets and general computer tools.
- Good analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build productive working relationships with managers and staff at all levels.
Preferred qualifications
- Background in the health care industry.
- Experience with budgeting and forecasting.
