Job description
Role overview
This role supports Technology Finance by delivering against individual goals, plans, and initiatives that contribute to the team’s broader business strategy and objectives. The position requires all work to be completed in line with applicable regulations, internal policies, and established procedures.
What you will do
- Own and maintain central financial datasets and spreadsheets, including financial results and master transit/account hierarchies used for planning, forecasting, and reporting.
- Use a range of tools to build, update, and support databases that help drive strategic decision-making.
- Introduce automation to improve the team’s efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Act as the primary contact point for the main technology support team.
- Prepare and deliver complex financial information in a clear, concise, and user-friendly format for Technology Finance leaders, including visual presentations of data.
- Continuously improve processes and reporting so they keep pace with changing business needs and industry best practices.
- Carry out ad hoc analysis and reconciliations on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Promote a client-first mindset that strengthens relationships and makes better use of the bank’s wider networks, systems, and expertise.
- Apply the bank’s risk appetite and risk culture in day-to-day decisions and activities.
- Work effectively in line with the company’s values, Code of Conduct, Global Sales Principles, and business controls, while supporting compliance obligations tied to operational risk, AML/ATF, sanctions, and conduct risk.
- Contribute to a high-performance environment and help maintain an inclusive workplace.
- Handle the heavy workload that comes with month-end and quarter-end reporting, meeting demanding deadlines without compromising quality.
- Build strong working relationships with partners across Finance and Technology.
What you need
- A university degree in business, finance, or a closely related field.
- Hands-on experience working with large datasets and databases.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Experience with VBA programming.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Experience in data visualization, data presentation, and automation.
- Knowledge of financial and management reporting principles in a banking context, along with familiarity with business planning, accounting systems, budgets, and internal controls.
- SQL knowledge is considered an advantage.
