About This Week in Fintech
This Week in Fintech is a leading global fintech media brand with more than 200,000 subscribers. It began as a newsletter focused on highlighting news, trends, and insights in financial technology and has since expanded into podcasts, conferences, events, and an online community that connects fintech professionals, investors, and enthusiasts around the world.
Role Overview
This Week in Fintech is looking for a highly organized, creative, and entrepreneurial Senior Events & Experiences Manager to help grow one of the most influential communities in fintech. The role is focused on using events and experiences to build brand value, deepen relationships, create partnership opportunities, and strengthen the broader community.
This is a hands-on, strategic position rather than a standard event coordination role. You will shape and deliver experiences ranging from intimate executive dinners and private salons to large conferences, ecosystem meetups, and partner-led activations. Working closely with leadership, you will help define how TWIF presents itself across fintech, startups, venture capital, and media.
Responsibilities
- Own the full lifecycle of TWIF’s flagship events, conferences, executive dinners, community gatherings, and sponsored experiences, from early concept development through on-site delivery.
- Collaborate with leadership to design event strategy, content themes, and experience formats that support brand growth, audience expansion, and ecosystem influence.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with venues, suppliers, sponsors, speakers, VIP guests, ecosystem partners, and community members.
- Manage sponsor commitments and partner integrations to deliver polished experiences and strengthen long-term partnerships.
- Oversee schedules, budgets, run-of-show documents, vendor management, travel planning, attendee communications, and on-site execution.
- Foster high-value relationships across the fintech, startup, investor, and operator communities through thoughtful hospitality and well-curated experiences.
- Create repeatable systems, playbooks, and operational processes that help the events program scale while maintaining a premium standard.
Requirements
- At least 5–8+ years of experience in events, experiential marketing, hospitality, media, startups, fintech, or community programming.
- Demonstrated experience managing premium, high-touch experiences for founders, executives, investors, sponsors, and VIP audiences.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities, with the capacity to work independently in fast-moving environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to build trust and long-term professional relationships.
- A strong sense of audience experience, hospitality, brand presentation, and event design.
