About the Brand
Christopher Esber is a globally recognised luxury fashion label known for its progressive design language, strong craftsmanship and contemporary take on femininity. Founded in Sydney in 2010, the brand has expanded internationally through luxury retail partners and its own direct-to-consumer business, building an increasingly diverse global customer base.
Role Overview
The business is looking for a commercially minded Senior Ecommerce & Digital Manager to steer the growth of its worldwide digital channel. This position owns the ecommerce and digital strategy end to end across all markets, with responsibility for commercial results, customer acquisition, retention and the quality of the online shopping journey.
You will work closely with Design, Production, Marketing and Finance to develop the brand’s digital flagship and deliver durable growth while keeping every online touchpoint aligned with the label’s premium positioning.
Digital Commerce Strategy
- Set and drive the commercial direction for the brand’s global direct-to-consumer business, with accountability for revenue, profitability, acquisition, retention and customer lifetime value.
- Create seasonal and annual ecommerce growth plans that support wider business goals and international expansion.
- Spot new opportunities across geographies, channels and customer segments to unlock digital growth.
- Own the ecommerce commercial roadmap, ensuring brand priorities and commercial performance move forward together.
Ecommerce Performance and Optimisation
- Improve online results by continuously lifting conversion, average order value, lifetime value and margin.
- Review customer behaviour, product performance and trading patterns to identify opportunities that strengthen commercial outcomes.
- Maintain a live optimisation roadmap covering merchandising, product discovery, search, navigation and checkout.
- Lead testing across the ecommerce journey, introducing experiments that improve engagement and conversion.
- Track competitor activity, market movements and new technologies to uncover opportunities for innovation.
Digital Marketing and Customer Growth
- Design and execute the global digital marketing plan across paid media, CRM, SEO and acquisition channels.
- Coordinate external agency partners to improve performance, efficiency and return on investment.
- Manage digital marketing budgets and forecast channel investment to support profitable growth.
- Strengthen retention and loyalty through lifecycle marketing, CRM strategy and personalised customer journeys.
- Refine marketing performance using data on acquisition cost, return on ad spend and lifetime value.
Digital Experience
- Shape the online experience across all regional websites so each interaction reflects the brand’s luxury identity while supporting commercial goals.
- Guide the development of the digital flagship through enhancements to user experience, site functionality, personalisation and content.
- Partner with developers and technology providers to prioritise new features and platform improvements.
- Oversee quality checks and user acceptance testing for all site updates and releases.
Campaigns and Product Launches
- Lead digital delivery of seasonal collections, product launches, editorial campaigns and promotional activity across all markets.
- Work with Brand, Marketing and Creative teams to turn campaign stories into engaging digital experiences.
- Coordinate with Production and Logistics to align inventory, product focus and launch timing.
- Ensure seamless execution across ecommerce, CRM and digital marketing channels.
Commercial Insights and Planning
- Produce regular reporting on ecommerce, digital marketing and customer performance, turning data into practical commercial recommendations.
- Prepare sales forecasts, trading projections and budget reforecasts to support business planning.
- Monitor core commercial and marketing KPIs, flagging risks, opportunities and emerging trends early.
- Present performance updates and strategic recommendations to senior leaders.
Leadership and Collaboration
- Lead, coach and develop the ecommerce team while building a culture of accountability, teamwork and ongoing improvement.
- Manage relationships with agencies, technology partners and platform providers to ensure strong execution.
- Encourage innovation by promoting new ideas, technologies and ways of working that strengthen the digital business.
About You
- You bring 6+ years of experience leading ecommerce and digital performance in luxury fashion, premium retail or another fast-growing consumer brand.
- You have a strong track record of growing ecommerce revenue while improving profitability and customer lifetime value.
- You think commercially and have experience building ecommerce growth strategies and digital marketing programmes.
- You understand Shopify Plus, GA4, CRM platforms, paid media, SEO and ecommerce analytics at a deep level.
- You are experienced in managing agencies and working with cross-functional stakeholders.
- You have strong analytical ability and can turn complex data into actionable commercial decisions.
- You lead collaboratively and have experience mentoring high-performing teams.
- You are organised, proactive and comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
