Your responsibilities
- Create seasonal design directions and concepts, and steer the creative vision of the collection according to the ORTOVOX brand strategy.
- Take a functional lead in the design workflow and guide the team creatively as a senior design specialist.
- Design high-end technical mountain sports apparel and accessories.
- Track global trends, user expectations, competitor developments, and advances in materials, construction, and sustainability, then convert them into strong product ideas.
- Develop seasonal concepts for colors, materials, and trims, and ensure they are implemented consistently across the collection.
- Partner closely with product management, apparel development, pattern engineering, and material development teams.
- Co-create innovative functional solutions, special constructions, and new manufacturing or finishing methods with the apparel development team.
Profile and requirements
- A completed degree or equivalent training in apparel design, product design, or a related field.
- Over 7 years of professional experience in technical apparel design, preferably in outdoor or performance sportswear.
- Proven experience building and rolling out seasonal collections, along with a strong grasp of design systems and collection consistency.
- Understanding of garment construction and pattern making is beneficial.
- Strong command of Adobe Illustrator; experience with graphics, 3D design, and visualization tools such as CLO 3D is an added advantage.
- Excellent technical understanding and the ability to present design concepts clearly and persuasively.
- Independent, organized, and solution-focused way of working, with the ability to stay on top of complex collections.
- Confident communication and presentation skills, including the ability to justify design decisions to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong personal connection to mountain sports, nature, and sustainable product development.
