Job description

Role Overview

The Wonderful Company is looking for a seasoned recruiter to own full-cycle hiring for its in-house agency and corporate teams. The position supports roles across advertising, creative, public relations, corporate communications, brand management, digital marketing, and closely related fields.

This is a highly advisory recruiting role for someone who performs well in a fast-moving, high-touch environment and can balance creativity, business partnership, process discipline, and talent strategy. The right candidate will be curious, analytical, practical, and committed to creating a strong experience for both candidates and hiring managers.

As part of the internal Talent Acquisition team, you will act as a reliable partner to hiring leaders, help shape recruiting strategy, improve hiring outcomes, and strengthen processes and programs across the organization.

This role is based in West Los Angeles, CA, and follows a hybrid schedule with in-office work Monday through Wednesday and remote work available on Thursday and Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for creative, marketing, communications, and brand positions across The Wonderful Company portfolio, including both permanent and freelance talent.
  • Work closely with leaders in the internal agency and corporate teams to understand business goals, team structure, and changing hiring needs.
  • Advise and coach hiring managers through intake discussions, sourcing plans, interview structure, candidate review, feedback collection, and offer planning.
  • Provide a polished, responsive, and personalized experience for both candidates and hiring managers from start to finish.
  • Hire across a wide range of roles such as creative directors, art directors, copywriters, designers, PR and communications professionals, brand managers, digital marketers, social media specialists, and content talent.
  • Design and run creative sourcing approaches to connect with passive candidates in competitive and niche talent markets.
  • Review creative portfolios and evaluate candidate strengths, then share clear and timely recommendations with hiring teams.
  • Support efficient decision-making by structuring strong interview processes, facilitating debriefs, and clarifying evaluation standards.
  • Use recruiting data, reports, and market intelligence to shape strategy, improve decisions, and keep business leaders informed.
  • Develop talent pipelines and external relationships that support future hiring and reinforce the employer brand.
  • Represent the company through networking, industry participation, social channels, and talent community outreach.
  • Contribute to talent acquisition projects and cross-functional initiatives focused on better processes, stronger operations, and scalable recruiting practices.
  • Own assigned workstreams within larger recruiting or organizational projects and ensure deadlines, alignment, and execution are met.
  • Regularly review recruiting workflows, tools, candidate experience, and team operations to support innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain disciplined recruiting operations by managing candidate flow and preserving accurate data in the applicant tracking system.
  • Hold recurring business check-ins and communicate proactively with hiring leaders so Talent Acquisition functions as a strategic partner.

Qualifications

  • At least 7 years of progressive recruiting experience, including substantial work supporting creative, agency, marketing, communications, or brand functions.
  • Experience hiring for a broad mix of disciplines such as creative, PR and corporate communications, digital marketing, and brand management.
  • Background recruiting both permanent employees and freelance or contract talent.
  • Strong grasp of creative evaluation, including how to assess portfolios, originality, storytelling, and conceptual thinking.
  • Advanced comfort with applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, AI sourcing and talent intelligence tools, and other recruiting technologies.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to earn trust and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Consultative style with a track record of coaching hiring leaders toward high-quality decisions.
  • Ability to manage several searches, priorities, and stakeholders in a demanding environment while maintaining strong service and attention to detail.
  • Well organized and operationally strong, with experience handling recruiting processes, systems, reporting, and analytics.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data and insights to guide strategy and process improvements.
  • Curious, proactive, and solutions-driven, with a genuine commitment to learning and continuous improvement.
  • Experience contributing to or leading recruiting projects, process enhancements, and cross-functional programs.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills across varied audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

The pay range for this position is $120,000 to $140,000, and the role may also include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will depend on skills and experience.
