Role Summary
This position is for a detail-oriented copywriter to join the London-based e-commerce studio team for George. The role is hands-on and studio-based, requiring someone who can work comfortably in a fast-moving environment and is open to using AI as a productivity and creative support tool. The role is based in the studio five days a week and reports to the Studio Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Use generative AI and similar writing tools to help create first drafts and improve copy quality.
- Spot opportunities to streamline repetitive work without reducing standards.
- Check facts, edit output, and adapt AI-assisted copy so it sounds authentic and on-brand.
- Create and improve prompt frameworks that support faster and more consistent output.
- Turn garment specifications into clear, customer-friendly copy that highlights benefits.
- Keep copy consistent across large product ranges while meeting daily output targets.
- Ensure all writing reflects George’s tone of voice and brand values.
- Apply SEO best practices to support search visibility and ranking.
- Assist with campaign, homepage, and category copy as needed.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience writing e-commerce product copy, ideally within fashion or retail.
- Strong ability to manage time effectively and work to demanding deadlines.
- Comfortable staying composed under pressure and adapting to changing needs.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working within a studio team.
- Excellent accuracy, with a sharp eye for detail.
- Capable of handling high-volume work while maintaining quality.
- Confident working onsite in a shared studio setting.
- Good understanding of UK retail compliance and product claims requirements.
- Commercial mindset with a customer-focused approach.

This is a full-time, permanent role. The position is studio based and requires attendance in the London office five days per week.
