Role overview
Godfrey North is looking for a seasoned Senior Civil Engineer in Dublin to take on a senior leadership role within a leading consulting environment. The position suits someone with more than 15 years of experience delivering complex vertical construction work, a well-developed industry network, and the drive to help expand a high-performing team.
The role will support major infrastructure programmes across Ireland while also contributing to client development, business expansion, and wider market growth.
Key responsibilities
- Guide the technical direction of major infrastructure and vertical construction projects, ensuring strong engineering control.
- Take the lead on client-facing activity and use an existing sector network to uncover and win new business.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and provide coaching, mentoring, and leadership to strengthen team capability.
- Monitor project execution so that technical, commercial, scheduling, and quality standards are met.
- Develop and nurture relationships with clients, contractors, developers, and other important industry contacts.
- Support strategic planning, market growth, proposal preparation, and initiatives aimed at increasing revenue.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related subject is required; a master's qualification is an advantage.
- Chartered Engineer recognition through Engineers Ireland or an equivalent body is strongly preferred.
- At least 15 years of experience delivering large-scale vertical construction projects in consulting, contractor, or developer settings.
- A solid professional network within the Irish construction, infrastructure, and development sectors, with clear evidence of generating new opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop strong engineering teams.
- Excellent commercial judgement, stakeholder management capability, and a track record of building trusted senior-level client relationships.
