Senior Business Analyst

About the role

DHL Express is seeking a Senior Business Analyst focused on data governance to help strengthen the quality, reliability, and control of data across its global operations. This position is centered on improving governance frameworks, reducing data debt, and simplifying older data flows so the business can make better decisions with cleaner, more consistent information.

You will work across departments to understand business needs, shape practical data solutions, and encourage the use of standards and best practices that improve data quality and process efficiency. The role requires someone who can connect business, governance, and technology needs while contributing to a collaborative global environment.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with Express functions such as Customs & Regulatory Affairs, Customs Operations, BPO, COG, Commercial, and other teams to define business needs and solution options.
• Prepare recommendations for process owners, project managers, and approval groups including Investment Committees, Project Boards, and functional leadership.
• Record findings and updates regularly for the relevant governance boards and support those updates with clear recommendations.
• Handle change requests that affect multiple functions.
• Guide functional teams through the understanding and adoption of new or updated business solutions.
• Share subject-matter expertise in business areas with strong cross-functional impact.
• Present business requirements clearly to architects and designers and confirm that requirements are understood correctly.
• Work with subject matter experts to resolve issues.
• Use Power BI and Snowflake to study complex business data, identify patterns, and generate insights.
• Create dashboards and reports that clearly communicate KPIs and performance trends.
• Collaborate with IT and cross-functional teams to integrate and improve data solutions.
• Support data accuracy and quality assurance across reporting outputs.
• Convert business requirements into technical solutions and document important workflows and processes.
• Serve as a Power BI and Snowflake subject-matter resource for the Data Quality & Governance team.
• Coordinate projects and manage communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in business analysis or a closely related role, with a strong emphasis on data visualization and analytics. You should be comfortable working with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders, and able to explain complex ideas clearly.

Strong hands-on knowledge of Power BI is important, including visualization best practices. Experience with Snowflake, especially data modelling and integration, is also required. Knowledge of SQL, Python, or other programming languages will be an added advantage. Prior exposure to improvement methods such as First Choice or Six Sigma is preferred.

Professional certifications in Power BI, Snowflake, or BABOK are considered an advantage.
