About the Role
BlueRock is expanding and is looking for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join the Hawke’s Bay office. This is a full-time position with flexibility around start and finish times. The role is central to daily bookkeeping support for internal advisory teams and to helping onboard new clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Carry out bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Handle payroll from end to end, including superannuation, payroll tax, and work cover.
- Prepare and lodge superannuation contributions.
- Reconcile profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Produce monthly reports, including cash flow reporting.
- Support the growth of junior team members through mentoring and development.
- Oversee workflow and compliance for junior staff.
Requirements
- A relevant degree or diploma, preferably in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Comfort using technology and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Hands-on experience with Xero accounting software.
- Intermediate to advanced capability across Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
- Previous experience mentoring junior team members.
