Job description
About the company
AWP Architects began life in 1957 as Alfred Wong Partnership and has built a reputation for design work shaped by a balance of innovation and disciplined method. Headquartered in Singapore, the practice is guided by internationally experienced directors and supported by senior partners with deep industry experience. Over the years, the firm has contributed to Singapore’s development for nearly seventy years and has also widened its presence across Southeast Asia, China, and India. Singapore will remain the group’s headquarters for the foreseeable future.
Role overview
AWP Architects is looking for Senior Architects to join its Singapore office in a permanent, full-time capacity. The role is centered on leading architectural projects through every phase, from early concept development to final completion. The selected candidate will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, keep project schedules on track, ensure regulatory compliance, and produce design solutions that align with project goals and client expectations. This is a project leadership role with close collaboration alongside the Director in charge.
Candidates should be comfortable handling all stages of a project and should bring the experience needed to lead existing teams. Background in mission-critical facilities, industrial projects, laboratories, and cleanroom environments will be viewed positively. This opportunity is suited to experienced architects who want exposure to large-scale work and may grow toward a management pathway within the firm.
Key responsibilities
The role includes directing architectural design and planning activities, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and overseeing delivery from concept to completion. The Senior Architect will also manage timelines, support compliance with relevant regulations, and help ensure project objectives are translated into practical and innovative design outcomes. Team leadership and close collaboration with the project director are important parts of the position.
Qualifications and experience
Applicants should have strong capability in architecture and architectural design, along with project management experience covering planning, execution, and delivery. A minimum of 8 to 12 years of relevant experience is required. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Revit and familiar with architecture-related digital tools and systems. Strong communication, coordination, and collaboration skills are essential. A degree in Architecture or a related field is expected, and professional certifications will be considered an advantage. Experience working on projects of different sizes and types is beneficial. The company is specifically seeking team-oriented professionals who can coordinate effectively across project teams.
Additional information
This employer is committed to equal opportunity and does not tolerate discrimination of any kind. Only candidates who already have the right to work in Singapore will be considered.
