Role overview
Express Food Company is looking for a highly organized Senior Accountant who can manage core finance operations with accuracy, sound judgment, and a strong sense of ownership. This position calls for someone who can handle reporting, controls, compliance, and team guidance while helping the finance function contribute to better business decisions.
What the role is meant to achieve
The main objective of this position is to supervise day-to-day accounting work, keep financial records reliable, ensure required standards and regulations are followed, oversee payment-related activities, support audit and budgeting work, and help build an effective accounting team that aligns with business goals.
Key responsibilities
- Manage routine accounting activities and maintain the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of financial records and reports.
- Take charge of month-end and year-end close activities, including financial reporting and the preparation of statements for management.
- Handle payments, banking tasks, reconciliations, and financial dealings related to employees and suppliers.
- Review budget performance and overall financial trends, then provide insights and recommendations that support decision-making.
- Make sure processes follow IFRS, Saudi tax rules, company policies, and internal control expectations.
- Support and coordinate internal audits, external audits, stock verification, and financial control procedures that protect company assets.
- Work with other departments to improve financial workflows and strengthen operational efficiency.
- Guide, coach, and develop the accounting team while promoting strong performance and continuous improvement.
Candidate profile
The preferred candidate is proactive, detail-focused, and comfortable working in a leadership-capable accounting role. The person should bring strong analytical thinking, excellent communication, and the ability to support both operational execution and financial strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
- 3 to 4 years of accounting experience, ideally gained in QSR or a multi-branch business environment.
- Solid understanding of IFRS, financial reporting, audits, and month-end closing activities.
- Hands-on experience with Excel and ERP platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics or Oracle.
- Valid SOCPA membership is mandatory.
- Strong analytical ability, communication skills, and leadership capability.
