Job description
Role Overview
The Senior Account Manager is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of accounts, strengthening relationships with current and prospective customers, and representing the company’s products and services through structured account management approaches. The role focuses on increasing sales performance while supporting marketing initiatives in coordination with the Territory Sales Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute account plans and a clear growth roadmap for the assigned portfolio, working closely with the management team.
- Create precise sales forecasts and set targets that support broader business goals.
- Manage vendor relationships in line with company strategy and leadership direction.
- Develop strong connections with both new and existing clients and channels to grow business and uncover fresh opportunities.
- Maintain a reliable customer and channel database, study the data, and define metrics that measure loyalty and future potential.
- Gather market input for current and upcoming products through research and regular visits to existing and prospective customers.
- Handle the complete sales process, from quotation through to payment collection.
- Review credit and payment behaviour, track outstanding balances, and support settlement and audit follow-ups.
- Ensure inventory is properly stored, monitored, and controlled using an accurate stock management system.
- Drive revenue and profitability across the full account portfolio.
- Provide strong support to channel partners, addressing concerns and requests quickly to meet customer expectations.
- Coordinate targeted campaigns and marketing activities, monitor execution, and recommend improvements when needed.
- Review business workflows, identify efficiency gains, and introduce standardised procedures.
- Use available systems such as Salesforce CRM for lead, opportunity, and deal registration management to improve output and consistency.
Education and Experience
A bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or a closely related discipline is required. The role calls for 5 to 7 years of relevant professional experience.
