Role overview
Securitas UK is recruiting a Security Officer for its Edinburgh site. This is a site-based, full-time position offering 42 hours per week on a rotating pattern of 4 days on/4 days off, then 4 nights on/4 nights off.
The hourly pay is £13.61. The role is intended for someone who wants a meaningful career in security, with scope to learn, build confidence, and progress in a supportive environment.
What you will do
- Carry out regular patrols of assigned areas to spot and discourage suspicious behaviour.
- Perform detailed searches in line with company procedures and site rules.
- Keep clear, accurate logs and complete required incident and observation paperwork.
- Work closely with colleagues, supervisors, and outside authorities to report matters and support incident response.
- Offer courteous and professional customer service to staff, visitors, and guests.

Eligibility and requirements
