Role Overview
This position combines personal protection and professional driving responsibilities for VIP clients such as corporate leaders, public figures, and other high-profile individuals. The selected person will safeguard the client during travel and at residences or workplaces, while also handling the assigned vehicle with advanced defensive driving practices, strong judgment, and strict confidentiality.
The deployment may be anywhere in India, depending on client needs in corporate, residential, or diplomatic settings. The role sits within Executive Protection / Manned Guarding and reports to the Assignment Manager, the client’s Security Coordinator, or the G4S Executive Protection Team Lead.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide close protection to the assigned VIP during travel and at public events.
- Stay alert at all times to identify, assess, and discourage possible threats.
- Escort the client securely to and from destinations, coordinating with other security personnel when required.
- Plan routes in advance, evaluate risks, and prepare backup measures.
- Drive the allotted vehicle safely, following road rules and VIP movement protocols.
- Remain composed while handling congestion, crowds, or emergency situations.
- Keep the vehicle clean, fueled, and in safe operating condition.
- Carry out before-trip vehicle inspections and report faults or mechanical concerns promptly.
- Respond quickly to attacks, medical incidents, or road emergencies.
- Move the principal to safety and contact law enforcement or the control room as per procedure.
- Give basic first aid when needed or arrange urgent medical evacuation.
- Protect the client’s privacy by keeping schedules, locations, and personal matters confidential.
- Maintain professional behavior, polite communication, and appropriate language at all times.
- Safeguard the vehicle when parked or stopped and watch the surroundings during drop-offs and halts.
- Report suspicious behavior around the client, property, or vehicle.
Eligibility and Requirements
- Education should be at least 10th pass; 12th pass is preferred.
- A valid LMV driving licence is required.
- Applicants should have 3 to 5 years of accident-free driving experience.
- Overall experience of 3 to 7 years in personal security, VIP driving, or related protection work is expected.
- Background as a bodyguard, PSO, or ex-serviceman will be an advantage.
- Working knowledge of security procedures, evasive driving, and basic first aid is desirable.
- Age should be between 28 and 50 years.
- Candidate must be physically fit, alert, well-built, and at least 5'8" (172 cm) in height.
- Ability to communicate in English, Hindi, and a regional language is preferred.
- Work may involve long and flexible hours, inter-city or outstation travel, and on-call duty on weekends and public holidays.
- Dress code may be uniform or civil/formal clothing depending on the client’s SOP.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay will be in line with the Highly Skilled category, with additional allowances possible based on risk level and working hours.
- Night duty, travel, and outstation allowances may be provided depending on deployment.
- Statutory benefits can include PF, ESI, bonus, gratuity, leave, and insurance coverage.
- Accommodation and meals may be arranged based on the client site or remote posting.
