Job description
Role overview
This position is for experienced cybersecurity professionals who want to help improve advanced AI systems while working remotely and choosing their own hours. The work focuses on testing whether AI outputs about security are accurate and useful in real-world practice.
You will collaborate with modern AI models on tasks such as assessing security-related AI content, solving technical security challenges, and sharing feedback that helps improve how these systems understand threats and defenses. Some people take on this work alongside another full-time job, while others make it their main commitment.
How the process works
After creating an account, you will complete a short assessment that acts as the screening step. If you are successful, you will receive confirmation by email and paid tasks will become available through the platform.
Responsibilities
- Review AI-produced cybersecurity material, including threat analysis, vulnerability reviews, and offensive security methods, to confirm whether it is accurate and realistic.
- Create and solve technical security problems that are used to train AI systems.
- Produce concise technical explanations and write security-related code when needed.
- Share feedback that helps shape the next generation of AI security models.
Compensation and contracting terms
Pay is offered on an hourly basis, beginning at $50 to $100+ per hour, and some projects may include bonus rates. This is an independent contractor role. Payment is processed through PayPal, and you will never be asked to pay any money to participate.
Eligibility and requirements
- At least 2 years of practical experience in cybersecurity, such as penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or related work, including government or military cyber operations.
- Some programming experience is needed, along with the ability to navigate and modify an existing codebase.
- Strong English fluency at native or bilingual level, plus solid writing ability.
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Cybersecurity certifications such as OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, or similar credentials are considered an advantage.
- This opportunity is available only to applicants in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.
Working style
You can choose the projects you want to work on and decide when to work. The role is fully remote, and you may work from your own computer at home.
