Role Summary

The Scheduler plays a key role in ensuring services are delivered smoothly to clients by managing and coordinating Direct Support Professional (DSP) schedules. This position supports proper staff-to-client assignment, organizes client service visits, identifies scheduling issues, and helps resolve problems so that service outcomes stay on track.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate in-home support services between DSPs and the people served.
  • Work with the Branch Manager and other team members during staff meetings.
  • Keep management informed about situations that need extra attention, changes in a client’s condition or needs, and issues that may require employee discipline.
  • Make sure DSPs complete all required training.
  • Assist with training activities when needed.
  • Assign DSPs to shifts, schedules, and appointments promptly.
  • Track attendance and punctuality for DSP service appointments.
  • Maintain accurate records and data, including templates, valid authorizations, and time and attendance information.
  • Take on-call responsibility and provide direct client care when staffing coverage is insufficient.
  • Ensure home care services follow agency philosophy, policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal licensing rules.
  • Ensure proper timekeeping and paperwork are submitted on time.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, make fast decisions, and handle confidential information carefully.
  • High school diploma.
  • Valid driver’s license and active auto insurance.
  • At least 2 years of general office and computer experience.
  • Experience working with the public and presenting a friendly, professional image.

Additional Information

This role requires some driving. A valid driver’s license and current auto insurance are mandatory.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is USD 17.00 to 18.00 per hour.
