Job description
Role Overview
This position is responsible for keeping the facility clean, orderly, and compliant with good manufacturing practices while supporting the overall upkeep of the site.
Key Duties
- Follow all current GMP standards and standard operating procedures related to cleaning and sanitizing production equipment, shared spaces, and facility areas.
- Apply safety and quality rules consistently, and make sure all chemical use follows the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Use required personal protective equipment correctly to reduce exposure to chemicals, electrical risks, and eye or ear hazards.
- Maintain daily records for assigned areas and escalate any issues or irregularities to management.
- Handle restroom support tasks such as removing excess water, changing light bulbs, refilling toilet seat covers, spot-cleaning restrooms, and keeping the lunch/break area clean during operating hours as needed.
- Support exterior upkeep by performing tasks such as weeding, trash removal, general outdoor cleanliness, and snow removal, while keeping the required logs up to date and reporting exceptions to management.
- Keep the work environment clean, organized, and safe to support efficiency, employee safety, and product integrity.
- Follow all food safety and quality procedures at all times.
- Act quickly on unsafe acts or conditions by making the area safe or notifying the appropriate person to address it.
- Assist in other departments when needed and complete any additional duties assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to stay composed, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines with a positive attitude.
- Comfortable working in cold, wet, and humid conditions.
- Capable of working independently, following instructions, and completing tasks within established routines and standards.
- Able to work collaboratively as part of a team to finish assigned work and meet group targets.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job safely and successfully in line with applicable ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local requirements, including productivity expectations.
