About the Role
GAT Airline Ground Support is seeking a dedicated Sanitation Agent to maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment for warehouse agents. This role operates in a dynamic, fast-paced setting with strict deadlines to ensure timely flight operations. The ideal candidate will project a professional and positive demeanor, embodying a 'Lead by Example' philosophy. Reporting directly to the supervisor or manager on duty, this position requires consistent punctuality and reliability.
Job Duties
- Ensure the safety and security of the warehouse at all times.
- Support the setup, cleaning, and proper storage of equipment and warehouse facilities.
- Handle food and goods with courtesy, speed, accuracy, and care, including loading and unloading.
- Accept, inspect, and perform temperature checks on catering deliveries from the food service provider.
- Adhere to all Sky Café and airline policies and procedures.
- Maintain continuous communication with other catering staff and relevant airline communication centers.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have the legal right to work in Canada on a permanent basis.
- Must possess a clean criminal record.
- Must be able to acquire the necessary airport and/or Transport Canada security clearances.
- Must be physically capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 70 lbs regularly.
- Must be able to perform tasks within specified timeframes.
- Must be available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules.
- Must successfully complete all required airline and corporate training programs, including recertification.
- Must hold a current and valid forklift certification.
