Job description

Role Summary

This position is for a Key Account Salesman based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The role centers on developing business with new and existing customers, managing sales execution end to end, and supporting collections while maintaining strong client relationships.

Core Account Development and Sales

  • Carry out focused, organized prospecting to discover and convert potential customers into new accounts.
  • Present the company profile and clearly explain the range of products offered.
  • Drive sales growth by monitoring orders, coordinating deliveries, and tracking collections.
  • Protect and grow existing business volume through active account management.
  • Identify business opportunities and act on them quickly to support revenue growth.
  • Guide and support assigned as well as newly identified accounts across the designated territory.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build new customer relationships through both office-based and field visits.
  • Maintain long-term customer engagement to strengthen loyalty and retention.
  • Respond to product-related customer queries promptly, accurately, and effectively.
  • Offer suitable product options, samples, and quotations based on customer needs.
  • Review customer accounts monthly through receivables analysis and resolve any outstanding issues.
  • Anticipate customer requirements and recommend practical solutions.
  • Ensure reliable service delivery and issue resolution within the customer’s geographic area.

Market Intelligence and Product Knowledge

  • Keep up to date with market conditions, product trends, and brand developments.
  • Act as a source of local and domestic market information.
  • Share recommendations with the Sales Manager on business development and product marketability improvements.
  • Provide ongoing competitor and market analysis to support management decisions.
  • Work in line with SFDA regulatory requirements.

Collections and Coordination

  • Follow up on receivables in a professional and tactful manner to ensure timely payment.
  • Work closely with relevant departments to coordinate product deliveries to customers.
  • Partner with merchandisers and the warehouse supervisor to support delivery planning.

Experience and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 4 years of sales experience in a respected FMCG company is required.
  • Background in foodstuff businesses or multinational organizations will be considered an advantage.
  • Prior exposure to key-account handling, including product display, shelf replacement, display checks, merchandise arrangement, damaged or near-expiry item removal, and stock rotation, is highly valued.
  • Experience with SAP SD is considered a strong plus.
  • Strong coordination skills across internal teams are expected.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic is needed for reading, writing, and speaking.
