Role summary
The merchandising team leader is expected to review sales performance for the products assigned to them, identify situations where sales are underperforming, and recommend corrective actions to management. This may include changing product placement, adjusting displays, moving products to different in-store locations, and overseeing the performance of the merchandising team.
Responsibilities
- Visit assigned outlets according to the daily route plan shared by the supervisor.
- Merchandise SSFL products across the store’s key display areas, including shelves, stands, floors, and other access points.
- Place point-of-sale materials wherever required alongside SSFL product displays.
- Ensure all display areas follow the approved planograms.
- Apply FIFO rotation, and remove products that do not meet quality standards.
- Keep shelf stock fresh, organized, and clean at all times.
- Track competitor activity and report findings.
- Escalate any gaps or changes in the agreed terms with the assigned outlet or customer.
- Support sampling and redemption activities whenever needed.
- Maintain a neat personal presentation and professional conduct in line with the Frito Lay code of conduct.
- Review sales data for the assigned products and propose actions when performance is weak.
- Adjust displays and product placement as needed to improve sales outcomes.
- Supervise and manage the performance of the merchandising team.
