Job description

About the Role

NOBLE is a defense and government services organization that helps strengthen national readiness through a global footprint, a large portfolio of contract vehicles, and access to millions of products, solutions, services, and logistics capabilities. As a Sales Representative for SOCOM and Army accounts, you will work directly with customers to understand operational needs and provide practical procurement solutions that reduce day-to-day challenges.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will own assigned sales opportunities and customer relationships across the territory. You will shape and execute a sales plan and geographic strategy in coordination with the Director of Sales, meet customers regularly in person and through other channels, and support them with quotes, product information, demos, and order creation. The position calls for strong organization, confident communication, and the ability to stay on top of multiple priorities while maintaining a polished, professional presence.

Territory and Mission Focus

The coverage area includes Joint Base Andrews, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Dover Air Force Base, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, Hanscom Air Force Base, Otis Air National Guard Base, Barnes Air National Guard Base, Pease Air National Guard Base, Quonset Point Air National Guard Station, Bradley Air National Guard Base, Bangor Air National Guard Base, and Burlington Air National Guard Base. The customer emphasis is on special operations mission support, rapid acquisition, and Special Operations Forces units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work toward and surpass quarterly and annual revenue and profit targets.
  • Build and sustain relationships with customers and vendors while developing opportunities in current and new markets when needed.
  • Track and share a weekly pipeline of opportunities, quotes, and orders.
  • Collaborate with customers on future bid requirements and contract quotations for products and services.
  • Visit customer sites and attend conferences, symposiums, exhibitions, and vendor ride-alongs to uncover sales opportunities.
  • Gather market, competitor, and customer intelligence and relay key insights, risks, and opportunities to the business.
  • Prepare pricing, along with appropriate credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery timelines.
  • Use internal CRM and ERP tools to support quote and order processing.
  • Support inside sales with quote data entry and help identify suitable funding opportunities.
  • Recommend solutions based on customer needs and priorities.
  • Handle reporting, sales records, and expense submissions within corporate deadlines.
  • Work with customers on product development, enhancements, or adjustments that improve performance.
  • Process quotes submitted in writing, by email, or by phone accurately and promptly.
  • Create marketing approaches that generate new sales leads within the territory.
  • Coordinate an inside/outside sales approach for territory planning, vendor relationships, and dealer-of-record activities.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership, coworkers, customers, subcontractors, vendors, business partners, and suppliers.
  • Take full responsibility for the customer sales cycle from start to finish.
  • Keep a detailed Google Calendar for meetings, travel, and sales activity tracking.

Required Qualifications

Applicants should have a solid grasp of government sales and federal contracting, along with experience working with the Department of Defense, military organizations, federal agencies, or law enforcement. The job requires the ability to work independently, meet deadlines, negotiate effectively, communicate clearly, and hold a valid driver’s license. If needed for the role, the candidate must also be able to obtain security clearance.

Education and Experience

A bachelor’s degree with three years of sales experience is preferred. Alternatively, five years of relevant industry experience may be considered in place of formal education.

Technology and Tools

Daily work will involve Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Salesforce, internet research, and, as an advantage, familiarity with NetSuite or another ERP platform.

Work Environment

This role is based in a typical office setting, but it also requires meeting customers in a variety of environments. Administrative work is expected to be handled from a home office.
