Role summary

Gulf Power Group is hiring a full-time Sales Officer / Executive in Doha, Qatar to support growth across transport and waste management services. The role centers on generating new business, strengthening client partnerships, and promoting environmentally responsible solutions in areas such as waste collection, recycling, hazardous waste handling, composting, and broader environmental services.

Key responsibilities

In this position, you will identify and approach prospective clients such as companies, municipalities, and industrial sites. You will shape sales strategies to grow the customer base and increase market share, while also researching the market to understand trends, competitors, and opportunities. The job also involves presenting core service offerings, explaining the value of sustainable practices, and helping clients understand relevant environmental compliance requirements.

You will work with technical teams to understand client needs and recommend suitable waste management solutions. Building strong long-term relationships with existing customers will be an important part of the role, along with responding quickly to queries, concerns, and service issues. You will be expected to achieve sales targets and KPIs, prepare accurate forecasts and performance reports, maintain CRM records such as SAP, negotiate service agreements, and coordinate with operations, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure smooth service delivery.

Experience and qualifications

The preferred background for this role is a bachelor’s degree in Business, Environmental Science, Marketing, or a related field. The company is seeking someone with around 5 years of experience in sales, ideally within waste management, transport, or environmental services. Strong knowledge of waste management processes, recycling methods, and environmental regulations is important, as are solid verbal and written communication skills. English is required, and Arabic is considered an added advantage.

The ideal candidate should also bring strong negotiation ability, good analytical and problem-solving skills, comfort with CRM platforms, SAP, Microsoft Office, and other sales tools, plus a genuine interest in sustainability and eco-friendly practices.
