Role Overview
The organization is looking for a seasoned Sales Engineer who can help accelerate business growth by uncovering new market opportunities, building stronger customer partnerships, and expanding the company’s reach across the industrial landscape. The position involves shaping sales plans, managing strategic accounts, winning new business, and positioning the company as a trusted provider of engineering services.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement sales plans, pricing approaches, and revenue goals that support steady business expansion.
- Research and pursue fresh business opportunities within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Manufacturing, Power, Marine, and broader industrial markets.
- Develop and nurture relationships with major clients, public sector bodies, consultants, EPC contractors, and other important industry contacts.
- Draft, assess, and submit technical and commercial bids, proposals, and tenders, and lead discussions on pricing and contract terms.
- Track the sales funnel, measure lead generation and conversion performance, and share regular updates and reports with leadership.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, conferences, and business networking forums to increase visibility and create partnerships.
- Work closely with engineering, operations, procurement, and finance teams to make sure customer needs are addressed and contracts are delivered successfully.
- Contribute to marketing efforts through presentations, case studies, promotional content, and customer engagement activities.
- Collect client feedback, observe market developments, and suggest improvements to enhance service quality and competitiveness.
- Maintain compliance with internal policies, commercial requirements, contractual commitments, and accurate sales and CRM records.
Qualifications & Experience
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in technical sales, business development, or account management in engineering services, industrial solutions, or the Oil & Gas sector.
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Sales, or a related field; an engineering background is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with contract negotiation, tender handling, and proposal development.
- Solid knowledge of industrial service standards such as API, ASME, or comparable frameworks.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, sales forecasting tools, and market analysis methods.
- Strong commercial judgment along with excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder-management capabilities.
- Proven ability to develop lasting client relationships and identify strategic business opportunities.
- Professional certifications like CSP, PMP, Salesforce, HubSpot CRM, or Digital Marketing credentials are an added advantage.
