Role overview
The Sales Director - Qatar is a full-time position based in Doha with a hybrid working setup. The role centers on growing Slangit’s aiSTART.school business in Qatar by managing the full sales cycle, from finding prospects and generating leads to closing deals and expanding existing accounts.
Key responsibilities
- Create and run sales plans for the Qatar territory.
- Identify prospects, generate leads, and manage opportunities through the pipeline.
- Prepare commercial proposals and deliver product presentations and demonstrations.
- Negotiate contract terms with clients and partners in the education sector.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with school leaders, government stakeholders, and strategic partners.
- Work closely with product, marketing, and operations teams to share market feedback and influence roadmap priorities.
- Monitor performance against targets and report on key sales metrics.
- Coach team members supporting the Qatar market.
- Represent Slangit at conferences, meetings, and other relevant industry events.
Requirements
- Strong background in sales and sales operations, including forecasting, pipeline management, and closing complex B2B or institutional deals.
- Proven business development experience, with the ability to identify opportunities, build partnerships, and shape go-to-market plans.
- Ability to manage customer relationships effectively, with a focus on retention, satisfaction, and account growth.
- Experience leading or coaching teams and working across functions to achieve business goals.
- Prior exposure to technology, SaaS, or edtech sales; experience with AI-based products is a plus.
- Good understanding of the education sector, preferably in the Gulf region and Qatar, including both public and private stakeholders.
- Excellent English communication, presentation, and negotiation skills; Arabic language skills are beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, growth-focused setting and work independently with strong ownership of results.
